The Flapper can be explained
by the number eight in numerology. Feast or famine, abundance
followed by a crash, living on the edge...all these aspects
of life seemed to me best represented by life in 1920s America.
The Flapper is rich, beautiful, and poignant. Something
sad is in her face; perhaps it is an understanding of the transitory
nature of material security. Note the late afternoon sky.
The cloche cap was created by making ONE pearl,
duplicating it a thousand times and laying the pearls in rows…just
like beading. |
